I need to find the second Parasite Eve. Playing games two generations late causes problems on availability.
Playing Assassin's Creed II right now. I'm very impressed at how much better this game is than the first. It's like they injected fun, purpose, and variety into the first game. The collectibles are worth collecting now, you have a reasons to travel back to the hub town, and there is so much more to do in term of missions. Really pleased they managed to pull the franchise together with the second entry.
Pod Racer was so much fun. I never have played another racer that just clicked with me so much. Wipeout, F-Zero, etc. never have been able to topple Pod Racer from the pedestal I have placed it on.
I remember when I first saw this and thought this looks too good to be a console game. What do you know its just a CGI render. Everything about it looks a few steps above what is currently capable on a console. However it did look really fun. Kind of wish it were a game.
He was probably typing his comment before the Fishy Fingers posted. Their timestamps only differ buy a minute.
Even if it is a render it would be amazing if they would be able to pull off the kind of action in shown in the video.
Well, Origo Games did give us a trailer a year or so ago. Nothing has been shown for War Devil in years. So yeah it definitely exists more so than War Devil.
Lol, the Japanese laughter is so much worse. Tidus sounds like a seagull squawking. However, I thought John DiMaggio did a really good job with Wakka in FFX.
"Multiplayer is just facebook with headshots"
I am going to remember that one. This might explain why I don't care so much for multiplayer.
On topic: I just recently started playing Assassin's Creed II and have notices some depressing trends with games. Running around you often stumble upon the doors that blatantly tell you that you can unlock it if you purchase so and so addon. Also right when you start up the game the main menu has the ...
Just because it is innards are more sophisticated doesn't mean charging should be any different.
Memory is going to be one of the biggest things they will upgrade when the next generation rears its head. I remember thinking the memory of the Xbox 360 and the PS3 were fairly small even if the game optimization is better than on PC.
Haven't ever thought about that. For me that would be great because I don't really ever buy DLC. I *gasp* might actually go to GameStop to buy a few used games now and then. However I hate the way companies are rapidly deciding to sell people half of a game nowadays. People complain that they don't want to see the price of games ever go beyond $60, but they already have. A lot of the DLC released today is content that would have otherwise been in games at release 10 years ago...
I really look forward to the darker world it looks they are pursuing. It's kind of like they are removing the fantasy environment, but keeping the fantasy elements in a modern world. I really like the direction they have gone with this game. Hopefully the game itself will also impress.

I remember seeing that annoying little ticker when it first appeared. I immediately went looking for the menu option to turn it off.
@BryanBegins
I too wished Sony would have added the sphere to the end of the navigation controller. It really wouldn't have cost that much. Also does the nav controller have accelerometers in it? If so, the bulb was an even more missed opportunity because it would have been able to recreate the movement capabilities of the Move completely.
I understand kind of why they left it off though. I don't people would find it very easy to move the control...
Dead Space punishes for not being aware of your surrounding. Every 2 steps I turned around to make sure nothing was following me. And what do you know half the time something had crawled out of the wall to rip me up.
@Kornholic
Yeah any games like Doom, Dead Space, horror based in general I play at night with the lights out and the volume up. Definitely the best way to play those games.
I hear you all. I have the consistent problem of starting games and not finishing due to life/work/school hitting me. Anything I am playing gets put on hold, but after 6 months its hard to remember what the story was or I have forgotten how to play it. Case in point would be the The World Ends with You. I have have tried picking that game back up 3 times to continue where I left off the previous time, but the combat system is pretty deep and I have to spend a good deal of time relearning ...
Go out and buy that game now. Probably the best comic book hero game out there. Last year Batman AA was a contender for may Game of the Year awards along with Uncharted 2 and sometimes even won. It was definitely one of my favorites last year.
Gaius, the colossus with the sword, was one of my favorites. Seeing him lean back to swing his blade always gave me a oh sh!t moment.
Looking for the weaknesses was one of the best parts of the game. I love that game, but I have played it so many times that I know how to beat every colossus by heart.
I believe you can track the controller without it seeing the ball. They have shown in demonstrations before that you can but the controller behind your back and the PS3 still is able to tell where it is. There might be a loss in doing this as accelerometer data alone is no as good as it and the camera to together.
